Terms of service
The agreement between your family and Playful English. Plain wording on purpose.
1. Registration and placement
Registration is a request, not a contract. A place is confirmed after the placement assessment, once level, group and format are agreed. We may recommend a different group from the one requested.
2. Lessons
Group lessons run to a fixed weekly schedule during term. If the teacher cancels, the lesson is rescheduled or credited in full. Public holidays are published in advance and are not billed.
3. Absence and make-up lessons
Report an absence in the parent portal at least 24 hours before the lesson to receive a make-up credit. Absences reported later, or not at all, are billed as taught. Credits expire at the end of the following term.
4. Payments
Fees are billed monthly in advance unless another arrangement is agreed in writing. Invoices and receipts are issued in the parent portal. Unpaid invoices may pause enrolment after written notice.
5. Cancellation
Either side may end the arrangement with 30 days' written notice. Fees already paid for lessons not yet given are refunded or credited.
6. Behaviour and safety
We expect basic respect between children in a group. Persistent disruption is discussed with parents first and, if it continues, means a move to private lessons.
7. Materials
Lesson materials are provided for your child's personal study. Please do not redistribute or resell them.
8. Liability
We are responsible for delivering the lessons described. We are not responsible for exam outcomes, which depend on many factors outside a weekly lesson.
9. Changes
If these terms change we publish the new version here and notify enrolled families by email at least 14 days before it takes effect.
